Just before the month is about the end, another high-profile mobile game announced it is being shut down, and that happens to be EA’s Apex Legends Mobile.

Released last year on May 17, 2022, Respawn Entertainment announced on its official Twitter account that the game will be shutting down due to “factors beyond our control” making it difficult to maintain a high-quality experience.

Velan Studios announced that Knockout City is shutting down later this year on June 6, a little over 2 years after the game’s initial launch, and the game will launch Season 9, its final season on February 28.

Crunchyroll and the developers behind the co-op multiplayer RPG Mitrasphere announced on Twitter and in-game that the global server of the game will be shutting down next month on February 1, 16:00 [UTC].

The announcement was only made on the English side of the game, as the Japanese version of the title where it originated is still going strong when it was released on August 7 2017. Mitrasphere’s English server will shut down after a service lifetime of 1 year and 8 months after it was initially released on June 29, 2021.

Square Enix announced that it is shutting down the mobile action RPG Echoes of Mana on May 15 at 6:00 [UTC]. As the latest mobile adaptation of the Mana series, Echoes of Man has run for around one year since its worldwide launch on April 27, 2022.

According to an official announcement posted on the website, the production team has come to this conclusion as they reckoned it would be difficult to continue maintaining the app experience and therefore end the app service.

KLabGames and Bushiroad are shutting down the adventure/rhythm mobile game Love Live! School Idol Festival on March 31, 16:00 [JST] after the game launched on April 15, 2013 in Japan, and May 12, 2014 worldwide.

Both the global and Japanese servers of the game are shutting down at exactly the same time as indicated by both blog posts. The sale of Love Gems, Packs, and Passes has been suspended, and the game will no longer be available for download after March 31.

Q-max and DeNA, developers for the Hunter x Hunter Arena Battle mobile game, announced that the puzzle card battle hybrid title would be shutting down on March 31 at 15:00 [JST]. The title ends up running for three years and two months after its release in Japan.

Following this announcement, in-game microtransactions such as purchasing Jenny will no longer be available as of February 28. Any purchases made before January 26 at 13:59 [JST] are applicable for refunds by submitting a ticket via the title screen’s support tab in Hunter x Hunter Arena Battle.
